Linda D. Heise, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who joined Ocala Psychiatric Associates in 2001 with a background in individual counseling
(adult and adolescent) as well as couples and family counseling. She also has experience and additional training in sexual abuse, domestic violence, developmental disorders, communication and codependency issues, as well as grief counseling. She has previously been employed by the University of Florida as a professional Parent Educator for the Child Abuse Prevention Project and Clinical Coordinator for The Child Protection Team serving Marion, Lake, Citrus and Levy county regions. She has a continued interest in developmental disorders, primarily Autism Spectrum Disorder and Selective Mutism.
Ms. Heise also served several years on the Board of Directors for the Professional Counseling Center in Ocala, Florida.
Ms. Heise's psychotherapy tenet includes, but is not limited to, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT); Systemic, Reality, and Play therapy for children with emphasis on a client‐centered environment.
